It was a fun time this week in 6th grade ELA at Cope! Mrs. McDaniel's 6th graders (Ninja's, Vikings, & Crusaders) dove into the world of drama with energy and creativity! Students kicked things off by building anchor chart foldables to define key drama terms—then the stage lights came on (figuratively 😉).
Working in small groups, they tackled The Prince and the Pauper, each group bringing their assigned character to life with stage directions, dialogue full of personality in their classroom costumes, and scene summaries that tied it all together. The classroom buzzed with laughter, collaboration, and lots of dramatic flair!
From short skits to standout examples, these young performers showed us how reading truly comes to LIFE—one scene at a time. 🌟

CMS 6th grade drama work Part 2

School DRAMA time:
This is good drama! These CMS 6th graders in Mrs. Smith's class are working in small groups on a drama titled "The Prince and the Pauper." Each group had an assigned character, stage directions, dialogue full of personality, and then they had to write a summary of events in their scene. Reading coming to LIFE one day at a time.
