CMS celebrates and appreciates our PARAPROFESSIONALS today! We are so very thankful for the hardwork and effort that each of these individuals display on a daily basis at Cope Middle. Our campus would not be the same without their assistance and guidance.
Here are just a few of the TONS of job duties this special group completes each day:
Supports the teacher with instructing students on proper classroom behavior
Help teachers keep records for grading and attendance
Get materials and equipment ready to help teachers prepare for class
Reinforce lessons by reviewing material one-on-one and in small groups with students
Supervise students during lunch or recess, as well as in between classes or on field trips
Assist students who need additional help learning a specific concept
Help support the campus anytime Mrs. Grooms calls upon them!

CMS 8th grade students: Would you like to be a part of the award-winning Airline High School Marching Band? The Viking Vanguard Band will have color guard clinic and auditions April 7-10 at Airline High School from 3:00pm until 5:30pm each day.

It was a GREAT day to visit the BAFB's Defenders of Liberty field trip. Our CMS S2S ambassadors and a few other 8th graders had the opportunity to represent our school and see some really cool things! If you can make it this weekend, make plans to attend and see all the booths and aircrafts. We are so thankful for the partnership with Barksdale Air Force Base to allow STEM activities like these for our students!

Our 7th and 8th grade track guys participated in a preseason track meet at BMS this afternoon, and guess what.... they WON!!!🥇 We are looking forward to a great track season with these student athletes!

CMS Volleyball for 2025-2026
Cope Middle School's Academic Awards and Recognitions for the 3rd Nine Weeks will be conducted in homeroom classes on Monday, March 31. We had to make a change of plans due to our 5th grade orientation and several groups being off of campus this week. We apologize for the change. However, we are SUPER proud of our students' efforts during the third nine weeks. One more to go!! Keep Pushing forward, Cougars!
