Congratulations to our Students of the Week 9/23/24!

Congratulations to our Students of the Week for September 9 and 16th!

BOSSIER SCHOOLS: Parents/Guardians, we want to make you aware that a parish-wide lockdown drill will take place this morning, Friday, September 13 at all schools to practice emergency safety procedures. This is only a drill.

On Sept. 11, 2001, America was forever changed. It has been 23 years since the attacks, but that tragic day, which served as a true test of the American spirit, will be remembered always. So on this day, we observe Patriot Day and all that it represents—we honor the value of life, those we loved and lost, our country’s resilience, and the strength of the American spirit.

We are looking for someone to join our Mustang Family.

Have a safe and happy Labor Day!

Football players will meet in the south end zone @ Airline Football Stadium, by the scoreboard no later than 6 p.m. We are to be announced according to the schedule at 6:12. Players must wear the jersey they received at school today. Players cannot enter through the front of the stadium, they must enter in the back by the scoreboard. Once all the players have been announced, we will get on the bus and head back to GMS for practice. Practice will end again tonight at 8. If friends/family are wanting to attend spirit night at Airline tonight there is a $5 entry fee. Thanks!

7th Grade intermediate violin students had fun reviewing the names of all the parts of the violin and bow by playing "Pin the Part on the Violin". Students divided into teams, drew a giant violin and bow, made labels with all the parts of their instrument, and took turns being blindfolded and trying to place the parts accurately. We had lots of laughs and learning at the same time!

It's here! Our Oasis Store 1 has arrived! If you ordered between May 23-July 5, you may pick them up at the times listed in the picture.
Any orders not picked up will be delivered to the students Thursday, August 8th.

Bossier Schools has revised its cell phone policy in response to a new state law that restricts students from using cell phones and other electronic devices during the instructional day. Please note the following revisions:
Cell phones must be turned off and stowed during instructional time, including from the time students get on/off the bus or in/out of a personal vehicle while on campus;
Electronic communication devices, including but not limited to personal computers, laptops, electronic instruments, iPads, iPods, tablet devices, e-readers or similar devices, must be powered off and properly stowed for the duration of the school day.
Each violation will result in the collection of the cell phone/electronic device. More information regarding disciplinary action can be found in school handbooks.
*Please note the revised policy does not apply to students who have an Individualized Education Program (IEP)/Individualized Accommodation Plan (IAP), Section 504 plan or Individualized Health Plan that requires use of an electronic telecommunication device.

The Bossier Chamber of Commerce will be holding their annual 'Pack the Bus' school supply drive benefiting Bossier Schools. We hope you'll help out with this year's event! Come by the Wal-Mart Supercenter Thursday, August 1 from 11:30 to 1:30 and drop off much needed supplies to help our teachers fill the gaps in their classrooms.
